River Bum Rafting is one of the best experiences I've had with river tubing.
Our first float was at the end of the summer last season and we were so impressed that I purchased the River Bum Rafting Float Pass for this Season!
They bring you and all the necessary equipment to the drop point. I.e. tube, cooler tube, and paddles (when necessary.)
Friendly business owners will tell you what to expect with the movement of the river, average time for how long it would take to float. Today was about 3.5 hours including our pitstop to pull off and eat along the river. We floated at a nice easy pace for most of our trip. Toward the end of your trip expect some little rapids in the water.
At the end of your float they are there to pick you up at the bridge. Disclosure: (Expect the steep climb uphill to the bus, but hey you just parked your butt in a tube for 3 hours to float you can take a little walk uphill)
Check this place out for yourself!! If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would! We will keep coming back for more summer fun!

Our group of 7 had such a great time. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The folks who helped us dock and gather all our coolers and belongings totally went above and beyond. They even helped us look for a phone we almost lost (but found!). Highly recommended!

We went floating on 8/3/2025 with a party of 10. Ages 10 to 74. It was a great time. The staff was helpful and the quick ride to drop off and from pick up was in a nice bus. Here are my thoughts:
-If you bring kids bring something to hold the rocks and indian beads you collect. There are a million!
-Note that anyone under 13 has to have their float attached to a parent
-We didn't pack a lot of food as we planned to float then go for lunch/dinner. However, once we got there we wished we would have packed food and stayed on the river longer.
-The river isn't very wide so that helps keep the water warm even though it has been dipping down at nights.
-At the end there were 3 employees from Bum River waiting inside the water to help us out of our raft. There are about 10 very steep, very high steps, followed by a walk up a steep hill to get to the bus. We were all fine with it and the employees were happy to help if needed.
-We found the river to be clean
-The rapids were nothing to be too concerned with. I did have to push off one of the rocks but even my 71 year old mother said "It's too bad we can't get out and do that part again". Note: The river was up when we went.
We will return.
